Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for gymnastics and a commitment to fostering a positive and safe learning environment for students. As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching basic gymnastics skills, plyometric skills, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging personal growth among participants. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage behavior effectively, and a background in coaching gymnastics, physical education or related fields. Must love interacting with children ages 3-12 years of age.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics lessons that cater to various skill levels.
- Instruct students on proper techniques for gymnastics movements, including tumbling, balance beam, plyometrics and floor routines.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining a secure training environment.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote discipline and respect among students.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Organize and supervise practice sessions, ensuring that equipment is used safely and appropriately.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop programs that enhance student engagement in gymnastics.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year working with students in a coaching or instructional capacity is required.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience teaching gymnastics, martial arts, dance or physical education is required.
- Skills in behavior management to effectively handle diverse classroom dynamics is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 per week
