As a Crutchfield Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Provide technical support to customers who have purchased product from Crutchfield.
  • Engage our customers with a calm, interested and professional demeanor.
  • Help customers understand and utilize their equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical or product issues (for both home and car equipment). This involves diagnosing problems, offering solutions, and/or providing step-by-step instructions to help customers resolve their issues.
  • Actively listen to the customer to determine their needs, and paraphrasing, to clarify.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • A background in electronic (and other related fields) is recommended but not required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through phone, email, and chat.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule that will include working some evenings until 8pm and both Friday and Saturday. However, you will have every Sunday off along with an additional week day.

Training:

If you don't know everything about electronics, no worries. Every new team of Technical Support Specialists receives three months of paid, hands-on training with an experienced Tech Trainer before working with customers independently. Our next training class is scheduled to begin July 29th, 2024.

Salary and Benefits:

The starting pay is $17.51/hour, with potential for a performance-based bonus of up to $300 every three months. We also offer a competitive benefit package, a comprehensive wellness program, tuition reimbursement, relaxed dress code, and discounts on the fun stuff we sell. You're even allowed to bring your dog to work!

Onsite and Remote Work:

Crutchfield utilizes a hybrid schedule that allows employees to work from home three days per week and work onsite for the remaining two days, both during and after training. Employees must work remotely within the Commonwealth of Virginia to qualify for a hybrid schedule.
