The NASCAR Hall of Fame is an interactive entertainment attraction honoring the history and heritage of NASCAR. The high-tech venue, designed to educate and entertain race fans and non-fans alike, includes artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a 278-person state-of-the-art theater, Hall of Honor, NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop, and an attached parking garage on Brevard Street. The goal of the facility is to honor NASCAR icons and create an enduring tribute to the drivers, crew members, team owners and others that have impacted the sport in the past, present, and future.
Job Summary
The Retail Photo Sales Associate will create lasting memories with customers by capturing their visit at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with people, has experience in the hospitality or events industry and/or other customer-facing roles. An interest in photography or an aptitude for digital image technology is ideal as you'll be setting up and breaking down photo and computer equipment. Photo Sales duties includes: setting up equipment, testing photo green screen, troubleshooting and issues that arise, professionally engage with guests and vendors. The goal is to provide outstanding customer service and to increase the company’s growth and revenue through photo sales.
A. Essential Job Duties
- Setup and load out photo and computer equipment, including lighting and props
- Help guests capture high quality photo and video content
- Exceed client expectations by delivering high quality customer service
- Manage point-of-sale processes
- Create and maintain effective cash handling protocols, opening and closing procedures, and other gift store and photo operational processes.
- Set a high standard of excellence in order to create a memorable and engaging visitor experience.
- May perform other duties as required.

Scope of Responsibility:
- This job will have periodic access to confidential data including financial statements, company records and/or minutes, customer quotes, product costs, and company plans, designs, and/or programs.
Education and Experience
- Proven working experience in photo sales along with basic understanding of photo principles and customer service practices.
- High School diploma required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative, creativity and ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must have experience with photography and computers.
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organization skills.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- High energy, positive attitude and strong customer service skills, treats all customers and vendors with highest degree of respect and courtesy, and delivers exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Physical Demands
- The employee must lift and /or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Requires standing approximately 5 – 8 hours per day
- Requires stooping and kneeling as well as reaching and pulling to help obtain or stock merchandise.
- May be required to climb ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.
- Required to work an average of 25 hours per week.
