Position Overview:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, documentation, configuration, maintenance, and support of all physical infrastructure equipment and software related to the clients’ network and server/storage environments and/or Voice/VoIP equipment.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

·        Administers the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software systems.

·        Provides advanced level IT troubleshooting and support.

·        Configures, maintains, and supports physical/virtual servers, internal/cloud applications, end-user devices or terminals, security, and disaster recovery solutions.

·        Remote access solution implementation and support.

·        Administration and maintenance of remote monitoring and management systems, as necessary.

·        Manages and aids in project plan development and execution for server and network infrastructure upgrades.

·        Consults with third-party vendors on systems or procedural improvements.

·        Documents internal processes, information, and environment, as required.

Additional Job Functions:

·        Administers the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software systems.

·        Efficiently works through service requests.

·        Escalates service requests that cannot be completed within agreed service levels or requires engineer level support to third parties.

·        Travels to various locations as required.

·        Reviews IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.

·        Provides after-hours support activities periodically. 

·        Other duties may be assigned to meet company objectives as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another closely related degree

·        Experience in supporting companywide multi-platform solutions

·        Excellent problem-solving abilities

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·        Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols

·        Ability to identify the cause of processing problems and delays and to establish corrective actions

·        Ability to research and evaluate numerous elements and alternatives

·        Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently

·        Ability to collaborate within a team environment and work with multiple departments and staff of all levels

·        Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
