Position Summary
The Workers Compensation Manager facilitates communication and service utilization as necessary for all Crystal Clinic, Inc. Workers’ Compensation patients. Ensures appropriate treatment plans achieve a balance between quality of care and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
Supervision of workers comp clerks. Manages the operation and performance of the Workers Compensation staff and ensures timely completion of the Performance Appraisal process; Coordinates work assignments and schedules; Ensures that all staff complete Mandatory Organizational Education (MOE) training annually; Monitors attendance and edits time and attendance records as required; Organizes and delegates work in an effective manner, establishing appropriate time frames for completion of work, and providing the necessary leadership to ensure effective work results; Ensures continued development and education of self and staff; Ensures excellent open communications within the department through regular communication after other Leadership meetings.
Focuses on medical appropriateness of care with cost savings by coordination of services with return to work and productivity as soon as medically feasible.
Provides telephone case management to patients with Workers’ Compensation injuries.
Resource to satellites for workers comp issues.
Identifies barriers to recovery and implements plan to overcome the obstacles. ICD-10 and CPT coding as needed.
Communicates with appropriate physicians and employers as needed. Works well with patients, physician(s) and other CCOC employees.
Participates in Quality Assurance activities. Communicates with Quality Department regarding WC complaints and resolution.
Meet with employers with WC/CCI issues. Attends BWC meetings quarterly.
All other duties not specifically assigned.
Position requirements
Education: Current license to practice as registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years Workers’ Compensation case management. Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated leadership and management experience required.

Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Current CCM certification.
