Bring your expertise and passion to our team! Are you a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with experience in construction or project-based accounting? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that financial transactions, budgets, and reports are managed with precision?
Crystal Creek Builders is looking for an Accounting Specialist to support our Director of In-Office Operations. You will play a key role in helping us shape the financial health of our growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process invoices and payments, ensuring proper coding and accuracy.
- Obtain lien waivers from subcontractors who file preliminary lien notices.
- Manage client billings, including draws, change orders, and back charges.
Project Accounting
- Set up contracts and manage budgets in our construction project management software, ensuring alignment with financial records.
- Conduct variance analysis to track budget deviations and communicate findings to leadership.
- Ensure Course of Construction insurance is in place for each project.
Sales Tax Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and file sales tax reports, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
- Maintain vendor (new and existing) requirements – insurance, master agreements & W9s
Accuracy & Internal Controls
- Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, aligning with company policies.
- Identify discrepancies and proactively work with leadership to resolve them.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Accounting experience in construction, real estate, or project-based industries preferred.
✅ Experience with QuickBooks and construction accounting/project management software (e.g., Co-Construct, Buildertrend, or similar).
✅ Detail-oriented, highly organized, critical thinker with analytical skills.
✅ Strong communication skills, able to work independently and with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
✅ Ability to problem solve and manage multiple financial tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
