**Job Summary**
CSKT Fire Management is seeking a highly qualified Forestry Technician Leader to join our team. As a key member of our fire management team, you will be responsible for leading forestry technician teams in wildland firefighting operations, managing prescribed fires and fuels programs, and developing and implementing fire management plans.
**Responsibilities**
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading forestry technician teams in wildland firefighting operations
- Managing prescribed fires and fuels programs to maintain healthy ecosystems
- Developing and implementing fire management plans to mitigate risks and protect assets
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Range Management, Agriculture, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience as a Prescribed Fire and Fuels Technician, Forestry Technician, or higher graded position
- Red card qualifications as a Firing Boss (FIRB) trainee, Single Resource Boss (CRWB, ENGB, HEQB, FELB), and Incident Commander Type 5 (ICT5)
- Possession of a valid State of Montana Drivers License for vehicle operation
- Experience in wildland firefighting on the fireline, either within Tribal government or equivalent experience outside
- Ability to continuously meet Interagency Incident Qualifications System (IQCS) requirements
