Responsibilities
As a Medical Screener at CSL Plasma, your key responsibilities will include:
Donor Screening:
- Conduct comprehensive donor interviews and medical history assessments
- Perform health screening tests such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature
- Administer finger stick blood tests to collect hematocrit and total protein levels
Education and Training:
- Provide educational sessions for new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma
- Ensure donors understand the importance of proper nutrition and hydration
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of donor data in our electronic donor information management system
- Verify accuracy of donor information and address any discrepancies
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth donor flow and maintain a clean and efficient work environment
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to resolve issues and concerns
