As a Test & Evaluation Lab Technician 2, you will provide essential support in both laboratory and aircraft production settings, working alongside production operations personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include fabricating and maintaining instrumentation systems by installing a high volume of sensors and associated wiring onto aircraft parts and assemblies per engineering requirements. Sensor types primarily include strain gauges and accelerometers, with others such as thermocouples, RTDs, and pressure transducers.
This role requires coordination with Instrumentation Operations Engineers and Design Build Manufacturing Engineers, interpreting engineering drawings, and performing tasks such as surface preparation, hand sanding, cleaning, handling hazardous materials (e.g., solvents, adhesives, sealants), wire fabrication, electrical terminations (soldering, crimping), wire routing, continuity checks, labeling, and sealing. The ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring is essential.
Physical demands may include standing, kneeling, and working from various platforms such as stair ladders, mobile lift platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or overhead support systems. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like eye protection and hard-toe shoes is mandatory.
Candidates must have the ability to work all shifts.

Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting activities to plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Designing systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
- Participating in test design and performing routine procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.
- Coordinating test requirements and assisting in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
- Facilitating systems integration, fabrication, and modification; supporting system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down.
- Conducting routine tests, analyzing data, and documenting results.
- Troubleshooting and recommending resolutions for basic laboratory and test-related problems.
- Working under general supervision.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience.
- Experience in fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or various electrical components and associated equipment.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience installing aircraft modifications, including fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, or avionics boxes.
- Experience with aerospace assembly and/or electrical fabrication.
Citizenship Requirement:
Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
