Kennsington Golf Course in Canfield, Ohio is an 18-hole, 7,050-yard, par 71 that blends natural beauty with a challenging layout. In additional to the course, Kennsington features a driving range, chipping area, Pro Shop and Full Swing Golf Simulator Lounge.
Kennsington Golf Course is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to assist our Golf Course Superintendent.
Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent duties and responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance of the golf course area including greens, tees and fairways.
- Ensure that course grounds are healthy, well-maintained and attractive.
- Ability to diagnosis turf disease & deficiencies, and then apply proper plant protectants or fertilizer as needed.
- Monitor irrigation programs to maintain quality turf while keeping maximum playability.
- Familiarity with agronomy, horticulture and botany.
- Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in planning, coordinating and performing maintenance of the golf course , it's buildings and grounds.
- Supervise pesticide applications, as well as the operation and calibration of pesticide application equipment
- Participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation and drainage systems, along with the ability to install, trouble shoot and repair irrigation/drainage systems as needed.
Education, experience, and certifications required:
- 1 to 2 years experience in golf course maintenance.
- Certificate or Associate Degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Management, or related field.
- Current Ohio State pesticide license or the ability to obtain one within 60 days
- Ohio Driver’s License.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
