Description
This position is responsible for the administrative and physical activities related to receiving, storing, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure that all materials are pick and deliver in a timely manner to meet production and sales schedules in accordance with regulatory requirements
Ensure that materials necessary for production are available to meet production schedules
Perform Participate in cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in the system
Review and process all incoming materials to ensure that they meet order requirements as outlined on purchase order
Ensure that all materials are shipped in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as QLP, Lean and 6S
Ensure that all incoming raw materials and indirect materials are received in accordance to the SOP
Manage all packaging material Kanban and/or safety stock levels.
Responsible for scheduling communicating any issues or needs for maintenance of all equipment that are use in the warehouse area (ie. forklifts, motorized pallet jack, standard pallet jacks, etc)
Participate in the daily Tier Meeting, kaizens, support and update Leading Daily Indicators, and any continuous improvement in the area as needed
Participate in daily housekeeping activities
May performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Good working knowledge of Windows based applications
Solid communication skills – both written and verbal
Work effectively in a team environment
Specific certifications and/or licenses preferred in forklift and other material handling equipment
Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions
Must be able to record data and maintain accurate documentation
General knowledge of applicable quality and regulatory standards and regulations is preferred
General knowledge in Lean and other continuous improvements is preferred
Requires strong interpersonal and organization skills
Proficient in warehouse management systems and pc environments
Must be able to work overtime as required
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
Regular attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
Education/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required, AA preferred
1-3 years of warehouse and/or technical office experience
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs
Frequent standing/walking.
Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Shoes & Safety Glasses
Normal office working conditions: computer, phone, files, fax, copier.
Minimal to moderate travel required.
May be required to work or be assigned to a different shift as needed.
