The major duties and responsibilities of the Project Financial Controls Coordinator shall be as follow:
- Work with Project Manager(s) to prepare expenditure forecasts, including a statement of expenditure range that is based on known project risks.
- Forecasts will include tracking of purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and planned work.
- Prepare required documentation for monthly project controls meetings for assigned projects.
- Track project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues and facilitate communication of updates from project team to management and funding departments.
- Facilitate project budget set-up and budget transfers.
- Support accounting reclasses to ensure charges to assigned projects are correct and in alignment with the project plan.
- Facilitate monthly project cost accruals and reconcile invoices.
- Provide support for cost certifications by project and program managers.
- Provide other miscellaneous financial program support, as required, for assigned portfolio.
- Prepare invoices and supplementary reports for cost-reimbursable projects.
