Kansas City based company has a new opening for a Controller reporting directly to the CFO. The position will oversee three direct reports.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day company accounting
- Assist with financial planning
- Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
- Ensure government compliance in all tasks
- Manage month-end and quarter-end closing processes
- Issue timely and accurate financial reporting
- Provide insights on key metrics, variances, and trends to support operational decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 years of experience
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Supervisory experience required
- Extensive experience with percentage of completion accounting required
- CPA and public accounting experience is a preferred
