Curion is seeking an energetic, experienced Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join our growing company.


The Chief Revenue Officer will report to the CEO, working in close collaboration with the President, and be a key member of the Curion Leadership Team. This candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue and managing successful sales teams, preferably in the marketing services or research industry.


This individual will hire, train, and manage a team of highly motivated Enterprise and Net New sales professionals, including Sr. Client Relationship Directors (1), Client Relationship Directors (5), and Client Relationship Managers (1). The successful candidate will ensure that the team is focused on the right activities and equipped with the necessary tools to maximize productivity and effectiveness. With a passion for excellence and innovation, they will be capable of developing and implementing big ideas while executing tactical efforts to maintain a strong pipeline of targeted, qualified customers.


The Chief Revenue Officer must exhibit exceptional judgment and foresight to strike the right balance between sustaining our rapid growth and maintaining high customer satisfaction, all while preserving the company's entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. Granting independence to the CRDs will be crucial for the success of the CRO we are adding to our high-performing team.


Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the CRD team to ensure deals are closed per forecasted plan against business plan
  • Actively be on the ground with the team, attending client meetings, maintaining & building high level client relationships
  • Attend and assist on sales demos and calls when deemed as a value add and necessary to overcome hurdles
  • Actively build, cultivate and develop Net New growth
  • Mentor, coach and develop direct team members to execute against revenue targets
  • Generate and submit accurate sales forecasting
  • Hold weekly status meetings and coordinate efforts to effectively track and report on key metrics and results
  • Drive employee engagement, as well as great activity and performance, consistent with company culture and vision
  • Develop ongoing (i.e., quarterly) trainings and meetings
  • Generate new ideas for sales efforts
  • Work with Management and Finance team to set compensation and commissions plans and quotas
  • Communicate effectively to direct reports, ensuring goal alignment
  • Determine and report on performance and payouts to team and management
  • Continue to enhance acquisition strategy and team initiatives
  • Act as a liaison to communicate ideas, client feedback and strategic initiatives of the team to product management
  • Effectively manage the smooth transition of accounts to account management
  • Responsible for working closely with marketing and support to define and roll out programs, launch activities, and sales promotions
  • Work with management on strategy and plan execution for new business opportunities
  • Consistent with growth plan, identify recruiting needs/maintain a pipeline for back fills
  • Work with Curion’s Research/Insights team to improve activation process
  • Ensure proper training efforts, timelines, and plans are executed for all clients


Knowledge, Skills and Education Requirements:

  • Proven experience (10 years minimum) in marketing services or research industry selling to enterprise accounts
  • Demonstrated track record of success in building & maintaining a team of highly motivated, optimized sales teams
  • Demonstrated track record of individual success selling enterprise sales products
  • Demonstrated track record of success managing sales teams to quota in high growth environment
  • Deep understanding of and experience with managing sales professionals
  • Demonstrable competency in and experience with strategic and operational planning
  • Strong knowledge of data reporting on metrics (HubSpot, Tableau, etc.)
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Experience in CPG, product testing, or consumer insights a plus
  • Must have high energy and be able to multi-task and communicate exceedingly well
  • Existing, high-level relationships with top product or consumer insights network is a nice to have
  • Excellent executive presence, previous experience presenting to stakeholders. Board experience highly preferred
  • Private Equity experience preferred
