Job Description
Mail Processing and Distribution:
- Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming mail and packages (USPS,
- UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) to designated locations daily. Ensure timely collection and processing of all
- outgoing mail. Proactively identify and redirect misdirected mail to the correct recipients.
- Shipping and Receiving: Accurately verify and inspect incoming shipments, documenting and rejecting
- any damaged items. Count and record all packages received and communicate discrepancies to
- recipients. Open and document received goods against packing slips/bills of lading, noting any shortages.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packing and labeling, ensuring compliance with DOT,
- TCC, and all other applicable regulations (including Dangerous Goods). Provide shipment tracking
- information to requesters. Investigate and resolve shipment and receiving issues.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain required certifications for shipping Dangerous Goods and
- other relevant training. Comply with all company policies, including Personnel and HSE (Health, Safety,
- and Environment). Maintain accurate records, including vehicle access logs and monthly FedEx reports.
- Monitor for proper chemical storage, ensuring secondary containment is in place and timely pickup of
- full containers.
- Operational Support: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Conduct monthly audits
- of supplies and mailboxes at copy/print stations and manage inventory. Manage vehicle access and
- traffic in the back lot. Provide support to other team members (security, facilities, housekeeping) as
- needed.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work as part of a team.
- In addition to tolerating a variety of conditions, you need to be able to lift and carry up to 50
- pounds and be able to push or pull 50 pounds daily.
- Safely and effectively operate all equipment required for the position, such as power pallet jacks,
- overhead dock doors, 2-wheel and 4-wheel dollies, and other material handling equipment, in
- accordance with safety guidelines and procedures.
- High school diploma or technical school certification.
- Ability to organize and schedule one’s own work assignments.
