Position Overview:
The Plumbing Tech is responsible for assembling and testing complex plumbing systems for custom fire trucks. This role involves prepping components, installing pipe fixtures, valves, and foam systems, and pressure testing systems and tanks. Opportunities for cross-training in paint, body assembly, and fabrication may be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble pump system parts and components
- Install valves, controls, and foam systems
- Pressure test plumbing systems and water tanks
- Collaborate with team members across various production departments
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and basic technical knowledge
- Ability to read engineering prints and use measurement tools
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools and light electrical equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or on a team

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
