Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining an Amada Vipros or Pega Punch EMK 3612 Punch press, ensuring high-quality production standards and adherence to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and precision tools, as well as the ability to read blueprints and technical documents. They ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. The role involves interpreting technical documents, performing machine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain punch press machines to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Operate stamping presses and press brake machines to produce high-quality components.
- Perform setup and adjustments on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for accurate production specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with welding tasks as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations within the workplace.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating punch press machinery, stamping presses and press brake machines.
- Experience with Amada Vipros or Pega Punch Presses.
- Experience checking G-Code.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.
- Experience in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Knowledge of tooling processes and machining techniques.
- Understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM) principles is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Mechanically inclined and technically adept.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
