Custom Patch Hats is a small but dynamic manufacturing company. We pride ourselves on our commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. As we continue to grow we are looking for a dedicated Production Associate to join our team and help enhance our production processes.
Job Summary: As a Production Associate, you will support various post-production processes, including cleaning and inspecting embroidered items, assisting with heat press and laser engraving, tracking orders for completion, and monitoring inventory levels of essential supplies. This role provides an opportunity for growth by developing skills across multiple fabrication processes. Responsibilities and tasks may change based on department needs to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, inspect, and count embroidered hats and apparel after production.
- Steam items using a hand steamer or hat steamer as needed.
- Track and move orders to the appropriate department, such as the shipping department or the patch team, for further processing.
- Assist with heat press and laser engraving as part of training and career development.
- Support fabrication processes, including patch cleaning and coating tasks.
- Monitor and track inventory of essential supplies, including:
- Threads and embroidery materials
- Heat press supplies
- Laser engraving materials
- Communicate with the Production Manager regarding low stock levels and assist with restocking as needed.
- Maintain organization of materials and ensure smooth workflow within the department.
- Adapt to changing tasks and priorities based on department needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production.
Physical demands:
- Perform fast, repetitive movements and work with sharp tools and machinery
- Strong attention to detail for inspecting items.
- Work in a high-noise environment while using safety equipment.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Frequently squat, kneel, bend, crawl, twist, grasp, and reach overhead.
- Stand, walk, and sit for up to 8 hours daily.
Required Education and Experience:
- No prior experience required—training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Schedule: The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 5:30 pm.
