Position Overview :
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This entry-level role is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1 year of experience in accounting who is eager to grow within a reputable company. You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with financial reporting, general ledger, journal entries, sales tax, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities :
Assist in day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries and journal entries
Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support the month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with the preparation of financial reports, ensuring they are timely and accurate
Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Maintain and update accounting records and documentation
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial information
Assist with internal and external audits as required
Identify and contribute to process improvements within the accounting function
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
1 year of relevant accounting experience (internships or previous positions are a plus)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Experience with accounting software (NetSuite preferred but not required)
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A desire to learn and grow within the accounting field
