Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our financial team in managing accounts payable and receivable functions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and maintaining financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Prepare and review vendor and subcontractor invoices
- Manage expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
- Support the preparation of pay applications and invoicing
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and issues
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
- 2 Years' proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role with a Commercial Construction GC
- Familiarity with construction accounting practices required
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills
- $50,000 - $75,000 base salary depending on experience
