Controller - Construction

Position Overview

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role plays a crucial part in supporting project management through financial insights and effective resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for construction projects
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Conduct financial analysis to support project management decisions
• Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support
• Manage cash flow and financial planning for ongoing projects
• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with external auditors during financial audits
• Utilize QuickBooks for accounting purposes and ensure accurate record-keeping
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
