Position Overview
We are seeking an EHS Specialist to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a safe workplace for all employees. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs and initiatives to enhance workplace safety and minimize environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement training programs for employees on EHS topics and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes, particularly in lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and compliance status to management.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS best practices.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or similar EHS certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
