Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for steel construction projects, including labor, materials, and timeframes.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cost estimates align with project goals.
- Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of labor rates, material costs, and other relevant data.
At least 5 years of experience with:
- Estimating within the steel industry.
- Understanding labor rates and calculating project hours.
- Preparing bids and cost projections for large-scale construction projects
- Experience with stack estimation is a plus
- Proficiency in estimating software.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
