The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems in residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings. This role involves collaborating with architects and other engineers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while providing innovative solutions for fire safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop fire protection systems for various building types including residential, commercial, and high-rise structures.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and create fire safety plans to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Utilize Revit and CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications for fire protection systems.
- Work closely with construction teams to oversee the installation of fire protection systems and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct inspections and testing of fire protection systems to verify functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and project teams regarding fire protection strategies and solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
- Experience with Revit and CAD software for design purposes.
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems, codes, and regulations.
- Previous experience in designing fire protection systems for residential, commercial, and high-rise buildings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
