HVAC/Plumbing Small Project Estimator

Position Overview

The HVAC/Plumbing Small Project Estimator is responsible for analyzing project specifications and preparing accurate estimates for small-scale HVAC and plumbing projects. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule, while adhering to relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and project specifications to prepare cost estimates for HVAC and plumbing projects.
• Utilize HVAC estimating software and CAD software to assist in the estimation process.
• Conduct cost analysis to determine project viability and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
• Review and interpret plumbing codes and regulations to ensure compliance in all estimates.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and services for projects.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Provide excellent communication and support to clients and internal teams throughout the estimation process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an estimator in HVAC and plumbing projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in HVAC estimating software and CAD software.
• Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations and cost analysis.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
• Experience with negotiation and vendor management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
