The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, implementing necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of parts.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
- Experience working in the mining industry
- 4 years experience in a maintenance focused position with supervisory experience.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems.
- Familiarity with AC and DC electrical systems.
- Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
- Strong inspection and diagnostic abilities.
