We are seeking a Industrial Controls specialists with experience as both a PLC Programmer and Troubleshooting Technician, to join our team in support of our products and our customers' applications.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining PLC and HMI systems to ensure the efficient operation of our automation processes for "off the shelf" applications and custom needs based on client needs.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical controls and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving in industrial environments, AND a strong communication skillset to work as the conduit between the product development/engineering teams, the end user/customer and their requirements and the installation and maintenance specialists, to ensure proper functionality and efficient product performance.

This is a role that will be mostly based out of the Yakima, WA area site, but will be, as needed, required to work with customer integration, troubleshooting and installation projects, and on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, will perform the following tasks:

This is a role that will be mostly based out of the Yakima, WA area site, but will be, as needed, required to work with customer integration, troubleshooting and installation projects, and on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, will perform the following tasks:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for various automation projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC and HMI systems in a timely manner.
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial control systems and machinery.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance and reliability.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation of control systems, programs, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation and control technologies.
- EDUCATION - Those with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field are encouraged to apply, but those with the right industry experience ( in lieu of the degree) will also be considered.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and electrical controls, in an industrial setting/application, with at least 2 years of direct experience, is needed in the role, including:
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems, including Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk software.
- Additional PLC experience with other HMI systems ( Siemens, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of machine and automation controls, including VFD and servo systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with an ability and willingness to be FRONT FACING and working with customers and internal teams to translate/interpret performance goals into engineering and technical changes.
