Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
License: Current state license as a Radiation Therapist
Certifications: Current certification in CPR at Healthcare Professional level
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Ensure the highest standards of care and safety in the delivery of radiation therapy.
- Collaborate closely with medical professionals to follow and implement patients' treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain linear accelerators, simulators, and other therapeutic equipment.
- Perform essential physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting weights between 5 to 25 pounds, and repetitive arm/hand motions.
- Maintain awareness of fast-paced working conditions and safety measures regarding exposure to radiation, body fluids, and mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Deliver care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, adapting to patients who may require sedation or intensive monitoring.
- Provide various forms of radiation therapy including external beam radiation, brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and total body irradiation.
