Responsibilities:
- Deployments & Incident Management: Oversee application deployments and manage the resolution of incidents within SLAs. Work closely with development and business teams to resolve critical issues.
- Problem Management & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Oracle databases, Facets Clones, .NET Core, and other application stacks. Perform root cause analysis and ensure that problems are resolved at their source to prevent recurrence.
- Oracle Database Administration: Administer Oracle databases, optimize performance, and troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Performance Tuning: Tune Oracle databases and SQL queries for optimal performance.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage backup and recovery processes for databases.
- Shell Scripting: Use Unix/Linux shell scripting to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Cloud Database Knowledge: Support cloud-based databases, particularly in Azure environments.
- Oracle Exadata & Netapp SMO: Work with Oracle Exadata and NetApp SMO for high-performance database systems.
- Application Support: Provide ongoing support for applications such as Facets Clones, .NET Core, Adobe, PowerShell, IBM MQ, IIS, and Apache.
- Troubleshoot issues related to these applications and resolve them effectively.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Leverage HashiCorp and Terraform to manage infrastructure provisioning and maintain cloud environments.
- On-Call Support: Provide support outside regular working hours as needed, ensuring that systems are operational during off-peak hours and handle critical incidents as they arise.
- Analyst Skills: Analyze and maintain various application settings, troubleshoot issues, and manage performance across multiple platforms.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures for troubleshooting, configuration, and incident management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT support staff, and business stakeholders, to ensure smooth operations and alignment of goals.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in production support, particularly in managing on-prem and cloud-based systems such as Oracle, Facets Clones.
- Experience with Database Management: Strong expertise in Oracle database administration, including performance tuning, query optimization, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on Experience with Cloud Tools: Familiarity with AWS and Azure for managing resources, scaling applications, and ensuring high availability.
- Experience with HashiCorp and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency in Scripting and Automation: Experience using PowerShell, Python, and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Application Support Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Facets Clones, .NET Core, Adobe, IIS, Apache, and IBM MQ for troubleshooting and optimizing production systems.
- Understanding of Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and incident management tools like Datadog, ServiceNow (SNOW) for ticketing, change management, and resolving production issues.
- Incident Management & Problem Resolution: Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve issues efficiently in production environments.
- Experience with Virtualization: Practical experience with Virtual Machines and managing resources on cloud platforms and on-prem servers.
- Knowledge of Exadata and Storage Solutions: Experience with Oracle Exadata, Netapp SMO/Snap center for database performance and storage management.
- Understanding of Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security protocols like SSL, OAuth, and experience maintaining compliance within production environments.
- Disaster Recovery: Familiarity with disaster recovery (DR) processes and the ability to perform necessary DR activities to ensure business continuity.
- Operational Readiness: Proven ability to ensure systems are ready for peak periods and critical infrastructure upgrades, supporting smooth operations during high-demand periods.
- Experience with Multiple Databases: Ability to work with different database platforms like MySQL, Oracle for handling database-related production issues
