QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher;
- Valid Texas administrator’s certification;
- Demonstrated leadership ability, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills; and
- Familiarity with needs of K-5 students.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 220 days
SALARY:
$68,429(IA-4)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2020-2021
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with the development and implementation of programs to support students’ academic improvement (e.g., Reading Academies, summer school, acceleration programs, interventions, and gifted and talented).
- Collaborate to analyze student STAAR data and make recommendations for improvement so students achieve grade-level expectations or higher.
- Review elementary school district progress monitoring and benchmark scores to collaborate with coordinators for instructional improvement.
- Organize and facilitate the Student Success Initiative (SSI) program for fifth-grade students in CFISD including the creation of parent communications and lawfully required documentation for students’ permanent records.
- Assist in organizing and managing the curriculum department’s payroll responsibilities for elementary school programs such as summer school, curriculum writing, etc.
- Assist with implementation and management of district elementary school initiatives and special programs.
- Assist in the planning, organization, collaboration, and supervision of elementary summer school including registration materials, teacher applications, and all materials and training.
- Assist in planning staff development (including secure locations) such as district teacher leadership training, elementary curriculum council, and coordinator meetings.
- Support the management of the response to intervention (RtI) process for elementary campuses including the process documents, student/campus documentation, and professional development needed for campuses.
- Assist with the development and annual review of district elementary curriculum documents and guidance publications.
- Develop and annually review district elementary project and process documents and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.
