The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator at D/E/F Services Group, Ltd works under the direct supervision of the Office Manager and is accountable for the day-to-day functions of the payroll and benefits coordination roles, including support duties associated with the administrative, finance and business development departments. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate who is process oriented, collaborative, an effective communicator, is a self-starter, and is comfortable working in a high energy, entrepreneurial organization in the construction industry. Candidates will need to be comfortable working with and managing workers across diverse disciplines and skill sets to build a cohesive, capable team.

- Prepare, review, and submit payroll reports to internal staff, external vendors, building owners, & general contractors, including CHRO and minority reporting & testing.
- Prepare, review, monitor, and submit internal payroll weekly for payment to all D/E/F Services Group staff.
- Assist Project Managers with compliance requirements to include diversity, licensing, set-asides, documentation, etc.
- Maintain compliant employee and company records as mandated by internal company policy, contract requirements, and state & federal laws.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefit providers / vendors to include medical, dental, ancillary insurance options, and other monetary & non-monetary benefits.
- Coordinates, administers, and assists with development of various employee benefits awareness, education, and enrollment to all D/E/F Services Group staff.
- Ensure compliance of D/E/F Services Group, Ltd employees with varying license standards to include driver’s licenses, skilled trade licenses, & required certifications within ComputerEase.
- Assist with the planning & execution of external recruitment efforts and internal retention efforts.
- Assist with the planning & execution of company-wide events to include benefits enrollment, company meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
- Provide clerical support to management personnel
- Support accounting and finance departments as requested.
Payroll & Benefits Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures
- Excellent analytical skills and able to identify problems
- Task-oriented and results driven
- Proficient data entry and reporting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Licensing, Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree or greater preferred
- 3-5 Years experience with payroll administration
- 2 Years experience with company benefits development, planning, and coordination
Required Technology Skills
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Teams & SharePoint
- Functional use of Smartphone, Tablet, or Laptop
- Basic typing skills
