What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service position at D+M Metal Products?
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Primarily responsible for providing effective customer service for all D&M Metal Products customers by utilizing knowledge of company products and programs as well working with team members within the Customer Service area. This position is also responsible for the processing of customer orders and assisting in efficient and effective customer contact regarding inquiries, scheduling and shipping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Review & edit template/quotes before order entry.
2. Receive, review, and process orders into the computer system.
3. Update job routers for necessary changes.
4. Update templates/quotes for various changes from previous runs.
5. Run daily and end of the month reports.
6. Provide direct support to the Sales Engineers.
7. Update customer schedules with the computer system.
8. Open orders report maintenance including date changes.
9. Communicate with customers by phone and email concerning orders, returns, existing PO’s, shipments, P.O. checks, delays, and products.
10. Assess orders for material, labor estimates, outside service requirements, delivery, quantity requirements, part print review and job operations notes.
11. Track blanket orders for assigned customers.
