D2 Government Solutions provides aviation and administrative support services to various government agencies. Our aviation services include base operations, aircraft flight operations, maintenance, logistical support, training, range support, aerial imaging, and repair operations. We also provide a variety of administrative support services to include mail room, military transition assistance, training, clerical support for identification processing, medical support services, and other similar services.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between the project team and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), ensuring clear communication and coordination of all installation tasks.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the furniture installation team, ensuring that all furniture and equipment installations, relocations, and removals are carried out according to specifications and timelines.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the laborer team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety standards, protocols, and project requirements.
- Monitor and ensure that work is performed in a manner that minimizes disruption to occupants in facilities, maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of the project.
- Ensure that all work is completed on schedule, with furniture and equipment fully functional and operational at the end of each day.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, reports on progress, and any issues encountered, and ensure that this information is communicated to the COR in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contract specifications during all phases of the project.
- Coordinate and manage equipment use, such as forklifts and storage trailers, ensuring they are properly utilized and stored.
- Oversee the disposal of packaging materials and debris, ensuring compliance with disposal guidelines and COR approval for landfill usage.
- Manage inventory and supplies needed for installations, coordinating with the COR for any material or resource requirements.
- Ensure that all installations meet required standards, including leveling, attachment to walls/floors/ceilings, and finish trim as specified in the contract.
- Assist in conflict resolution and troubleshooting of any issues that may arise during the project, ensuring that solutions are implemented quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in project management, construction, or related fields are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising or leading teams on furniture installation, relocation, or similar projects.
- Strong understanding of furniture installation processes, including modular furniture, case goods, and heavy equipment.
- Prior experience working in government or military environments is preferred.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with the COR, contractors, and team members.
- Experience in managing logistics and coordinating the use of equipment such as forklifts, storage trailers, and other installation tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction or installation work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy furniture and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in multi-story structures, with few to no elevators available.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments (indoor/outdoor).
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and supervise teams on-site.
