DA Construction is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant specializing in reconciliations, job costing and financial statement preparation to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position based in Mount Dora, FL. The right candidate for this position will possess experience in all types of construction accounting.
Applicants should possess the following attributes:
- Very strong computer accounting software skills
- Experience with Quickbooks is a REQUIRED

Construction Accountant Job Duties:
- Prepares internal and external job cost reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and project managers.
- Maintains and balances various accounting systems by inputting data; scheduling required projects; verifying data.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Provides accounting support for management by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Construction Accountant Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
- Previous job costing experience required
