Role and Responsibilities

This role requires the incumbent to ensure that the entire production operation is running smoothly and efficiently. You will wear many hats in this position including managing staff, managing production, inventory, occasional material ordering, building and equipment maintenance, vendor relationships, and cannabis compliance. You will report directly to the ownership group on issues, needs, and data reporting on a weekly basis. You will also eventually have supervisors reporting directly to you.

Job roles include but are not limited to:

· The Production Manager will work directly underneath the ownership group and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing functions and overall operations daily.

· Organizing the entire production staff including their schedule, roles, efficiency, and skillsets. Quarterly employee reviews are expected as well as consistent feedback to the ownership group on staff members who are excelling and needing bonuses or those who are falling short and need an action plan. This leader must have a stern management style but also well respected and liked among the team.

· Responsible for ordering all raw material and packaging for products. This is an in-depth part of the operation in which you must foresee sales trends and make sure you order the perfect amount of material to keep shelves stocked with no backorders, while not over-ordering. You will work closely with the future Production Supervisor and ownership group weekly in this endeavor.

· Maintain close and well-respected relationships with all vendors - cultivations, packaging, courier, maintenance, landlords, retail stores, etc. It is very important that reputation is upheld with these individuals!

· Ensure there are no backorders, and that the team has a large variety of inventory to meet sales goals and keep customers happy.

· Maintain building and its equipment and fix anything that arises in a timely but effective manner. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, is not easily distressed, and that can come up with solutions on their own (major issues being brought to ownership). A forward thinker who feels confident in addressing daily operating needs, especially those in the cannabis space.

· Oversee and assist the Extractor with his needs and duties. Make sure yields are being hit and understand labor goals needed as well as collaborate on the best cultivations and strains for the product line based on data.

· Critical decision making and business thought processes that enable efficient, simplified ways of working systems to meet critical deadlines and quotas.

· Responsible for identifying operational pinch points and creating an action plan to optimize the process through the creation and implication of new business protocols and effective staff management.

· Collaborate with executives to determine the best course of action to integrate processes through every aspect of the business.

· Lead the development of standardized tools that enables the company to execute with consistency and efficiency including streamlined performance reporting for all areas of operations (yields, labor, COGS etc). These reports will be diligently updated and made readily available for operational needs, references, and of course compliance audits.

· Some reports will be shared with the ownership group on a weekly basis, highlighting key components of the operation- both positive and negative. These reports will include but are not limited to; HR insights, product loss, current inventory, incoming product and future production outlook, extraction yields, cultivation issues, cost analysis on material and packaging etc.

· Implement SOPs and have oversight of operational functions to make sure the MIP is in full compliance at all times.

· Oversee all final quality control of the products- from production to labeling- everything must fit the company standard. Quality and consistency are key both inside and outside the packaging!

· Willingness to put in the time to learn crucial details of role.

· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities while maintaining a company culture in the work environment.

· Must be efficient in METRC and knowledgeable about Nevada cannabis compliance rules; especially in a manufacturing facility.

· Must be efficient in Quickbooks, Excel, Google Docs, and Teams (or able to learn).

· Self-sufficient and creative leadership approach.

· Analytical thinker with extreme attention to detail.

· Advanced organizational stability through change and risk management.

· Lead the development and implementation procedures that ensure critical deadlines are met on time and accurately. You will have weekly production minimums that must be met to keep up with sales goals.

· Always follow CCB compliance guidelines and company SOP’s.

· Upbeat, motivating, and professional always - a genuine leader that people love coming to work with!

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must be 21 and hold valid Nevada Cannabis Agent Card (production employee).

COMPENSATION AND NOTES-

$45,000-$50,000 per year salary DOE.

Must be hitting minimum production numbers each week with no backorders.

Will be reevaluated in 6 months as role grows.

$200 medical stipend offered after 3 months.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
