Contract Duration: 6 months
Worksite Location: Kansas City, MO | remote
Compensation: $50 - $65 per hour depending on experience
What you’ll do:
- Analyze, design, develop, document, test, and deploy Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
- Translate data into meaningful operational insights to drive business decisions.
- Enhance and support existing BI solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop predictive solutions and improve supply chain services.
- Create engaging visualizations and reports for key projects, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Maintain and support the analytics platform to ensure seamless data management.
- Execute database queries and analyze data to extract actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for BI solutions and processes.
- Advocate for and contribute to the development of data-driven products and services.
- Partner with leadership and other departments to understand business drivers, trends, and impacts of changes.
- Lead the creation of key reports and data sets, and influence the development of new reports.
- Work closely with customers to identify and prioritize areas of analysis and opportunities globally.
- Communicate project progress effectively and help facilitate meetings to meet deliverables.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative working relationship within the team and across departments.
What you'll bring to the role:
Required:
- At least 2 years of analytics experience in developing business solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of data fundamentals with a passion for data integrity, testing, and validation.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Experience working with product teams in an iterative development environment.
- Positive and collaborative working style, contributing to a team-focused culture.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights clearly.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and clients to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Experience with APIs, cloud application development, and version control tools like GitHub.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, and various database technologies (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, SQL).
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with DBT, PL/SQL, or similar database technologies.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- A strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
