What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist/Customer Service Representative position at Dairy State Bank?
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for greeting customers in person and on the telephone in a professional manner and as a representative of the Bank. This position will also perform general administrative and customer service duties as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answers and refers all incoming calls to appropriate person or department and represents company in a pleasant and efficient manner.
Notifies appropriate person when visitor arrives.
Performs other administrative tasks as assigned and as time permits including outgoing mail, miscellaneous typing, and filing, scanning & indexing of documents, compiling data for and preparing a variety of records/reports.
Orders checks from Deluxe and balances the statement.
Works with team members to provide exceptional customer service and complete various tasks. Completes all regulatory compliance training.
Prepare reports and books for Board meetings.
Opens new accounts, orders debit cards, works with customers with online banking services, etc. Handles basic account maintenance.
Handles all return mail items and customer address changes.
Covers vacations, sick days, etc. at receptionist desk and in new accounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, excellent customer service/communication skills, above average computer skills, typing, 10 key skills, good math and the ability to perform a variety of tasks accurately. Experience in a banking environment preferred but not required. Must be able to uphold confidentiality and present a professional appearance/demeanor.
