What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at DAK Americas?
The Cost Accountant will be reportable to the Cost Accountant Manager and responsible for the following tasks:
Raw material accountability (includes):
- Tracking all the different delivery schedules for main raw materials and purchased for resale materials (PFR)
- Validate the delivery documentation for raw materials and PFR
- Record in SAP the receipts of raw materials outside plant locations
- Record in SAP the receipts of materials purchased for resale (PFR)
- Raw materials and PFR associated costs monitoring and processing
- Intercompany raw material and PFR invoices processing
Assist with inventory in transit tracking and monitoring
Assisting in analysis of raw material and finish product inventory
If needed, coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development
Assist with month end closing process to ensure accurate relay of information
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or, Undergraduate at Senior level with accounting classes
Quick learner and self-initiator with ability to partner with team members and across teams
0-1 years’ experience in Accounting or Auditing
Proficiency in computer-based analysis using Excel
Excellent analytical skills and people skills
Written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated
Organization skills
Flexible, with the ability to work under pressure
- Available to work Saturdays as needed for month end closing procedures.
Manufacturing experience is a plus

SAP experience in modules MM, FI-CO is a plus
