Interim Controller

We are currently seeking candidates for a “hands on” Interim Controller at a manufacturing co. in Cranston, RI, 02920.

The ideal candidate will have 7 years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing and retail environment.

This is a temporary role (est. 6 weeks) and will pay up to $85.00 per hour (based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.

Must Have Manufacturing Experience.

On-site 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a large accounting project
• Preparation of the audit
• Month-end close
• Financial statements
• General ledger and bank reconciliations and accruals
• Work with outside audit firm
• Prepare for state and federal audit
• Ensure internal controls and procedures are in place
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing and retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree
• CPA preferred
• Strong system skills and advanced Excel
• Ability to manage multiple items at once
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Ability to proactively communicate and work effectively with staff, corporate management and internal customers
