Interim Controller - Manufacturing - Providence, RI
We are seeking candidates for an Interim Controller position with a successful food manufacturing company located South of Providence, RI. The Interim Controller will be hands on with helping the company close their books and well-versed in consolidations and working with multiple entities.
This is a 2-month contract that will pay $80-100/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position is required to be onsite 3 days per week in their office.

Responsibilities:
- Present financial results, forecasts, and strategic initiatives during quarterly board meetings.
- Lead all financial reporting, forecasting, and the annual budget process.
- Manage treasury operations, business insurance, and employee benefit renewals.
- Oversee bank debt management, including quarterly debt covenants and compliance schedules.
- Supervise the annual financial audit and food safety certification process.
- Develop and monitor company sales and operational KPIs.
- Direct all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and pricing.
- Manage the company’s ERP system and oversee IT-related activities.
- Oversee specific operational areas, including repack operations, truck leases, monthly inventories, and repair and maintenance activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership, including 5 years in a Controllership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing financial operations across multiple business units.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing accounting; experience in the perishable goods industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills are a plus
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic thinker with the adaptability to handle tactical tasks as needed.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for conveying complex financial data clearly.
Salary : $80 - $100
