What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Partnership Intern position at Dallas Stars Hockey Club?
JOB SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for supporting Corporate Partnership activations and events, working Stars home games, conducting business research and generating leads for sales reps, and assisting with Frisco Fighters sponsorship needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Attend and execute various partnership activation duties at all Stars home games
· Attend and work various duties at Stars Corporate Partnerships & Foundation events
· Act as an extension of the Frisco Fighters sponsorship team when applicable during season preparation and at games or other events
· Craft proposal and recap presentations for potential and current partnerships
· Obtain and archive asset documentation and partner records for proof of performance
· Monitor sponsored content on social media and web channels
· Research growing industry categories to generate sales leads and identify new business
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Appropriate time management skills
· Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Strong written, verbal & presentation skills
· Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Power Point & Excel
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
· The steps of the partnership sales cycle
· How to fully execute various partnership activations
· How to use partnership systems such as, SponsorUnited, Nielsen, YouGov, and KORE
· How to assist with lead generation, proposal decks, recap presentations
· Interact with partners in the office, and at partnership supported events
· How to produce an impactful partnership agreement based on partner brand objectives and goals
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to both office and arena environments, with noise levels ranging from moderate to quite loud.
