Schedule: Full-time, Days
Compensation: $115,000 - $145,000 per year (based on experience)
Annual Bonus: 15% Director Bonus (performance-based)
Relocation Assistance: Case by case

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-performing Emergency Department team. This role will focus on driving service excellence, growth, personnel management, and resource allocation to ensure exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of improving metrics, processes, and patient experience in a large acute care Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Oversee the Emergency Department, ensuring quality patient care and operational excellence.
• Staff Development: Mentor and coach staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Performance Improvement: Develop and evaluate emergency services programs, monitor regulatory compliance, and oversee quality initiatives.
• Patient Experience: Advance the department's patient experience agenda, including patient and employee rounding.
• Operational Management: Identify and implement solutions for departmental challenges, manage resources efficiently, and enforce care standards.
• Collaboration: Build strong relationships with leadership, staff, and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ recent experience as a Director in a large acute care Emergency Department.
• Proven track record of improving metrics, mentoring staff, and achieving operational goals.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Active RN license or eligibility in Florida.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications required.
• BLS certification required.

Emergency Department Details

• Size: 34 beds
• Daily Volume: 130 patients/day
• Team Size: Approximately 45 FTEs
• Trauma Level: Non-trauma facility
