Duties and Responsibilities of the Position :
- Lead facilitation and coordination of domestic transportation operations projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including various departments and external customers, to foster collaboration and support organizational initiatives.
- Perform in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction, performance enhancement, and improved communication across the organization.
- Participate in negotiations on pricing and contractual matters with vendors, carriers, and contractors to secure favorable terms that align with business objectives.
- Proactively identify and implement cost-saving measures, such as minimizing unnecessary expenses related to detention and demurrage.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and enforce carrier routing guide compliance.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert within the team or department, making informed process and business decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, standards, and trends.
- Work collaboratively across functions to evaluate technical systems and process improvements that enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Performs other duties as needed.
