Sourcing Project Manager

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for our next Sourcing Project Manager. As a successful Sourcing Project Manager, you will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities. This position is based onsite at our Easley, SC facility.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Identify and implement cost down initiatives with External suppliers
• Participate in new product development projects assuring early involvement of our development suppliers and insure frontloading of the right technology and production platform according to IATF 16949 requirements.
• Build relationships with internal key stake holders to establish best sourcing solutions at both the regional and global level.
• Develop time to time ideation workshop with suppliers and internally to build a pipeline of cost savings
• Develop global sourcing policies and procedures to drive consistency and optimal utilization of competitive bidding process, negotiations, and terms and conditions requirements to achieve desired results across all regions.
• Participatinginre-design projects and ensure implementation according to IATF 16949 requirements (Change Control, PPAP, etc.)
• Identifying, visualizing and mitigating potential risks
• Working closely with global category managers and project managers to initiate, design and execute projects while meeting quality and costgoals.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain or other relevant area.
• 10 years procurement / sourcing experience
• Experience demonstrating a solid track record of meeting aggressive objectives.
• Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline driven environment.
• Broad knowledge of the procurement function as well as a high degree of knowledge of cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier relationships in driving cost reductions.
• Experience with Strategic Sourcing of Castings & Machining, aluminum and Turned parts categories
• Experience in Negotiation, Supplier Evaluation, Commercial Contract Understanding, Risk Mitigation, Commodity Market
• Proven leadership ability to coach associates, manage functional teams while promoting teamwork, delegation, individual responsibility and positive employee morale.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
• Global mindset and excellent communication skills to efficiently communicate across all levels in the organization.
• Good time management and project management skills to organize and plan effectively in developing effective systems and processes.
