The Intake Specialist plays a crucial role in the legal process by serving as the first point of contact for clients seeking legal assistance. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather pertinent information regarding their legal issues.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of client interactions and case documentation.
- Review documents for completeness and compliance with legal standards.
- Transcribe client interviews and other relevant communications as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and filings under the supervision of attorneys.
- Research applicable laws, regulations, and case precedents to support ongoing cases.
- Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Stay informed about changes in family law, tribal law regulations, patent law, and workers' compensation law to ensure accurate case management.
- Assist with consultations.
Skills
- Strong executive administrative support skills with experience in a legal environment preferred.
- Familiarity with legal case management processes and documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of family law and tribal law regulations is highly desirable.
- Proficient in transcribing audio recordings accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent research skills to assist in gathering relevant legal information.
- Ability to conduct thorough document reviews for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience with workers' compensation law is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on professionalism and confidentiality.
