Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in supervising teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, reviewing quality, maintaining project budgets and maintaining project timelines. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Review and interpret construction schematics, plans, and contracts to guide project execution.
- Implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Utilize construction management software such as Procore, and Microsoft Project for project tracking and documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work performed.
- Prepare construction estimates and budgets while ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using construction management software tools such as Mrcrosoft Project and Procore.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards in the workplace.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents including schematics and blueprints.
