Terrace Landscaping is looking to hire an experienced Lawn Care Foreman. The Lawn Care Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in maintaining lawns and green spaces by mowing, trimming, and performing additional landscaping tasks. This position ensures properties are well-kept, schedules are followed, and quality standards are met while overseeing and assisting crew members in daily operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
· Lead a crew in mowing, edging, and trimming lawns to maintain a professional appearance.
· Oversee and perform routine lawn maintenance tasks, including aerating, dethatching, and overseeding.
· Ensure lawn care equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and in working condition.
· Train and supervise crew members, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
· Communicate with clients and management regarding job progress and property needs.
· Identify and address common lawn issues such as pests, dry patches, or overgrowth.
· Maintain property boundaries by trimming along sidewalks, driveways, and curbs.
· Perform routine cleanup and debris removal to keep properties neat and tidy.
· Adhere to safety standards and enforce compliance with company policies.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
· Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
· Knowledge of lawn care equipment, industry best practices, and safety procedures.
· Ability to train, supervise, and motivate a team.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Active Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not required). - Able to pull a 20' enclosed trailer
· High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
· Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or a similar supervisory role preferred (will be running a two-man crew)
· Experience mowing and running a zero turn stand on or sit-down mower
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
· Ability to work in various weather conditions.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.
