Job Description :

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will help maintain the highest output and quality of DDN Storage products while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of current manufacturing processes . The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and improving current methods, developing and implementing new processes, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout production. He / she will work collaboratively across various departments, including engineering, production, and quality control, to continuously optimize our manufacturing footprint. This is a full-time position located onsite in Chatsworth, CA. Targeted pay $115k DOE.

Responsibilities :

• Support DDN production using standard manufacturing engineering practices and technical expertise.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Streamline product assembly and improve quality through the creation or procurement of custom tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Reduce system and component assembly times through lean manufacturing techniques.
• Determine optimal rework methods for nonconforming products.
• Review technical drawings and specifications to provide engineering input to production.
• Perform failure analyses and address corrective actions for product failures.
• Design and qualify custom packaging to ensure product safety during transportation.
• Provide training for team members globally to ensure proper product usage and handling.
• Communicate with and audit vendors / suppliers to address or improve products and quality.
• Participate in and lead factory readiness reviews for new products, systems, and software releases.
• Create and manage engineering change orders (ECOs) to introduce or improve parts, drawings, and manufacturers across all product types.
