Essential Functions
Manage and maintain all vendor relations which includes; gathering relevant information from scope of work to average pricing, comparing and contrasting vendors based on information provided and past data, conducting vendor interviews, on-boarding all new vendors and ensuring vendors are compliant with all certifications and appropriately manages the customer and vendor relationship by building a professional rapport, following up consistently, and maintaining ongoing contact and communication.
Job Attributes and Skills
* Manage the day-to-day execution of vendor agreements and coordinates business reviews to ensure compliance, monitor quality and when necessary, develop corrective action plans.
* Manages data to ensure vendor lists and data are kept current.
* Communicate updates and feedback to vendors.
* Exercises recruitment screening techniques that ensure only high-quality vendors are selected.
* Establish, nurture, and maintain excellent business relationships with vendors.
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to aid with various tasks relating to the oversight of cost management vendors.
* Serve as liaison between the Estimator, Line of Business Operators, Business Development, and vendors.
* Host vendor lunch and learn discussions.
* Creates and manages vendor recognition.
* Work with management to communicate vendor’s performance and especially capacity to perform jobs to meet capacity requirements.
* Work closely with Marketing to develop and maintain a social media presence LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, DAVACO Web Site and DavaCorner.
* Identify key geographic and vendor needs for the company and work with management on recruiting efforts.
* Provides vendor management support to the other divisions, as necessary.
* Act as a cooperative and contributing team member of DAVACO to ensure that a high level of service is always offered to both customers and vendors.
* Other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and/or 3-4 years’ experience in a project coordinator role, vendor management or recruitment role
* Self-organization and strong communication skills (oral and written) are critical to this role
* Must be proactive and be able to provide timely follow up
* Must be able to take ownership of assignments
* Must be self-driven and motivated
* Must possess 2-3 years of a customer service background
* Must be highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy
* Team skills are of utmost importance to this role including having the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers
* Experience in project management / construction field is preferred but not necessary
