Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the plant health care management program, including sales, inspections, treatments, inventories, equipment maintenance, record keeping and customer relations.
- Conduct evaluations, create PHC estimates, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate treatment for insect infestations, disease and cultural conditions affecting trees and shrubs.
- Create estimates for tree removal, pruning, cabling, and all outer tree care services, including development of any crew work order.
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment efficiently.
- Collaborate with a tree crew to maintain full-time status, especially during the winter season.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the company manager.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the tree care and plant care industry is required. ISA certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape management or related field with a solid understanding of species-specific insect, disease and cultural tending practices is desirable but not required.
- Have or willingness to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with tree care, hazard tree evaluation, integrated pest management, and industry -approve tree care practices.
- Ability to propose and develop sales to existing clients and cultivate new customers.
- Excellent organizational abilities and strong attention to detail.
